What it will not do
Some Pine features are refused on purpose, and some are not built yet. In both cases the editor names the line and the reason.
| Feature | State |
|---|---|
strategy() | Refused. This app is for manual trading, and a script that places orders would bypass the fill rules. Write an indicator(). |
lookahead = barmerge.lookahead_on | Refused. It would hand a bar its higher-timeframe values before that bar has closed. |
math.random() | Refused. A script must give the same output every time. |
Other symbols, request.security_lower_tf, other request.* calls | Not available. A script is given the chart's own candles only. request.security works for the chart's own symbol on an equal or higher timeframe. |
request.security on weekly or monthly | Not offered. The app's bars stop at one day. |
alert(), alertcondition() | Accepted and ignored. |
