Opening the journal
Press the Journal button in the toolbar, next to Indicators, or press J.
The journal opens as a panel on the right and the chart makes room; it does not cover it. A small number on the button counts closed trades you have not marked as reviewed. It has three tabs: Trades, Calendar and Session.
The Trades tab
Closed trades, newest first. Each row has a coloured arrow for buy or sell, the symbol and lots, when it closed, its R, its grade if you gave one, small icons for notes and screenshots, a green tick when reviewed, and the profit or loss.
- Search looks through trades, your notes, tag names and grades.
- All / Wins / Losses / To review filters the list. The count at the right is how many you have reviewed.
- Click a trade to open its entry. [ and ] go to the previous and next trade while one is open and you are not typing.
- The History table in the bottom dock has a Journal link on every row.
Auto screenshots
The camera at the top of the panel turns auto screenshots on or off. While it is on, a picture of the chart is taken when a position opens and another when its trade closes, and both are attached to that trade's entry. Pictures are shrunk to at most 1280 pixels wide and stored as JPEG, so a screenshot is about 100 KB. Trades already open when you resume a session are not captured.
