Help, backup and privacy

The Help page, at the bottom of the rail, shows the app's version and gathers what you need when something goes wrong or you change computers.

Getting help

  • Send feedback opens an email to support with the version in the subject.
  • Copy diagnostics puts a short report on the clipboard to paste into that email: the app version, your system, how many sessions and datasets you have, and the recent log. It holds no trades, prices or names.
  • Show log file opens the folder with the app's log. It records errors and crashes on this computer only, and keeps itself small.

Updates

The app asks whether a new version exists a few seconds after it starts. When one does, a band on the home screen says so: Install and restart downloads it, checks its signature, installs it and opens the new version; Later hides the band until the next start. It never interrupts a session. Check for updates on this page asks at any time. Updating keeps your sessions, data and licence.

Backup and moving computers

Back up everything asks for a folder and copies into it, as one new folder, your sessions, journal and screenshots, datasets, scripts, templates and settings. Restore from a backup reads such a folder back, on this computer or another. Restoring adds what the backup holds and replaces files with the same name; nothing that exists only on this computer is deleted.

Your licence

The licence and the trial are not in a backup, since they belong to one computer. On a new computer, deactivate on the old one and enter your key again; see your licence.

Privacy

Everything stays on this computer. The app goes online only to check your licence key (the key and a device code, nothing else) and to ask whether a new version exists. No trades, prices or usage are ever sent.

Open-source notices

The page lists the open-source software the app is built on, with each licence. Charts are drawn with TradingView Lightweight Charts™.
