The trial, the free version and your licence
The first 14 days include everything. After that you keep a free version, or you unlock the full one with a single payment.
The 14-day trial
It starts the first time the app opens. Every feature is on. A thin banner appears in the last week and says how many days are left. The clock only counts forward: setting the computer's date back does not add days.

A limit stops you adding past it. It never takes away what you already have: if you finish the trial with ten sessions, all ten stay readable, exportable and deletable, and the one you are playing keeps saving.
Unlocking the full version
Open Licence in the rail on the home screen, paste the key from your purchase email, and press Activate. It is one payment, with no subscription. The licence is checked online once to activate, and again about once a week.
If the computer is offline when a check is due, nothing happens: the licence keeps working for 30 days from the last successful check, with a reminder in the last week. Only after that does it fall back to the free version, and it returns the moment you reconnect.
Moving to another computer
A key can be active on a limited number of computers. On the old one, open Licence and press Deactivate on this computer, then enter the key on the new one. To bring your sessions, journal and data with you, use Back up everything on the Help page and Restore from a backup on the new computer. If you no longer have access to the old computer, write to support and the activation is removed by hand.
